Canvassing Through the Heat as We Put Neighborhoods First

It’s not easy walking through a heat wave, but our District 6 neighbors in Mira Mesa, Kearny Mesa, University City, UTC, Miramar, Sorrento Valley, Scripps Ranch, and Rancho Encantada are worth it.

Over the weekend our team heard quite a bit about the proposed Mira Mesa Community Plan update, the absurd cost of housing, outrageous water and electricity rates, and our neglected streets and roads.

We also received a great deal of neighborly care and hospitality at the door. THANK YOU for the cold water, shade, or for letting us in to cool down for a few minutes.

Neighbors looking out for each other – that’s what makes a community.

That’s why I’m running. Not for Downtown. Not for special interests that want to tell us how to live. I’m running for you, and for neighborhoods where we look out for each other, where our families grow, and where WE decide our future.

So as we officially begin the general election season, can you rush a donation of any amount to help us maintain our momentum?

It’s because of neighbors like you that we fight for our communities – and it’s because of neighbors like you that WE CAN WIN.

Every dollar that goes into our campaign is an investment into the future of our D6 neighborhoods.

If you’d like to volunteer with us as a canvasser or on the phone, let us know. We’ll make it happen! Just e-mail us at info@tommyhough.com.

After 18 months of campaigning Labor Day is behind us and the general election is underway. Support our Neighborhoods First effort with a contribution now.

And don’t forget – our San Diego Neighbors Fundraiser is right around the corner on Saturday, Sept. 17th, at 4 p.m. We hope you can make it!

RSVP today to pre-contribute and reserve your spot, or e-mail neighbors@tommyhough.com for more information.
