In 2020, you were a part of a movement to flip the San Diego County Board of Supervisors from red to blue and usher in an era of progressive governance that is more inclusive, transparent, and responsive to our community.
That election and the results that have been delivered since I took office were never about me – they were about what we could accomplish, together.

So much work remains ahead of us, and to move the ball forward, our community needs more partners in elected office. That is why I am proud to endorse Mira Mesa resident Tommy Hough for San Diego City Council, District 6.
As a lifelong environmental champion and the co-founder of San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action, Tommy knows what is at stake as we confront the climate emergency and is prepared to take the hard votes that this moment warrants.
That is why the sprawl developers who want to pave over San Diego’s precious open space are mobilizing to stop him – because he will fight for our future, not their pocketbooks.
