A reminder that primary ballots arrive in early May, and there are several District 6 candidate forums you and your neighbors may want to attend, including two in-person events the first week of May and a pair of on-line D6 forums this week:
Monday, April 25th – Join us at 7 p.m. for a virtual District 6 candidate forum co-hosted by the League of Women Voters and San Diego 350. You can still register for the forum here, and your Zoom confirmation e-mail will include a link to submit questions.
Tuesday, April 26th – The University City Community Association (UCCA) will present an on-line District 6 candidate forum in conjunction with the Mira Mesa Town Council, Sorrento Valley Town Council, and League of Women Voters from 6 to 7:30 p.m. You can register for the forum here, and visit the UCCA website for more details. Considering the large-scale rezoning proposals for south University City, this will be an important forum – let your friends and neighbors know.
Monday, May 2nd – The Mira Mesa Town Council will host an in-person District 6 candidate forum next Monday, May 2nd, at 7 p.m. at the Mira Mesa High School theater. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the event will be a moderated forum with opening statements, followed by questions submitted by the audience. Register now for this special, in-person event.
Tuesday, May 3rd – The San Diego Union-Tribune will host an in-person District 6 candidate forum on Tuesday, May 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. at the Serra Mesa–Kearny Mesa Branch Library, located at 9005 Aero Drive.
As I’ve already told so many of our D6 neighbors, we are the grassroots campaign this cycle, and I’m committed to ensuring we have a genuine neighborhood advocate at City Hall. That’s why I’m running for City Council.
Also, yard signs are still available! Send us your street address and we’ll get you a sign the same day. Join us, and let’s win this for our D6 communities.
With the June 7th primary coming up and ballots arriving shortly, we need to make our voices heard NOW and not allow the outcome of this race to be dictated by Downtown developers and special interests. I need your support today.
