For the trees and clean water.

A Bluer, and Greener, San Diego

As a San Diego County Planning Commissioner, I’m committed to restoring our parks, streets, and infrastructure, and as a candidate and community advocate I’ve been fighting for improvements from rebuilding Gold Coast Drive to restoring the Mira Mesa Epicentre.

But along with delivering the critical basics for our D6 neighbors, as the founder of San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action I will also advance a robust environmental agenda.

San Diego may have turned blue over the last few years, but it’s never had a truly green environmental champion going to bat for our beaches, canyons, foothills, and diverse communities. That’s going to change.

Make a contribution to Tommy’s grassroots effort today. Better
yet – strengthen your giving by becoming a monthly contributor.

Let’s restore our streets and infrastructure, along with natural green infrastructure that sequesters carbon and cleans water. Let’s capture, treat, and reuse stormwater before it poisons our beaches and ocean. Let’s add effective transit so we’re not putting more cars on our congested, broken roads.

Let’s enhance our tree canopy and protect open spaces like the Del Mar Mesa Preserve and Peñasquitos Canyon that not only preserve native species and wildlife corridors, but give our neighbors room to roam.

The stakes are high. Downtown lobbyists and developers are already buying their way into this race – but going door-to-door we know District 6 is ready for a real neighborhood advocate to ensure our D6 communities get what we need, not what Downtown special interests tell us they want.

That’s why our campaign slogan is Neighborhoods First, and that’s why I’m running for San Diego City Council. With your help, we’ll at last be able to give D6 real community representation.
