San Diego Persian New Year Nowroz Festival

We’re delighted to announce that Tommy will be speaking at the upcoming San Diego Persian New Year Nowroz Festival this Sunday, March 27th. While the San Diego Nowroz Festival is a daylong event, we expect Tommy will speak between 2 and 2:30 p.m. at the Port of San Diego’s Ruocco Park at 585 Harbor Lane.

This year is particularly poignant for Afghan Americans struck with the grief of losing their homeland and security. The organizing Azizi Foundation and event sponsors hope this year’s Nowroz festivities will not only help with the recovery process, but help enable a greater number of newly-arrived Afghan refugees to find a new home in the United States.
