Pints With Tommy at Protector Brewery in Mira Mesa

Celebrating the biggest small business in District 6, our Pints With Tommy events showcase the craft breweries of our District 6 “Beeramar”communities, including Miramar, Kearny Mesa, and Mira Mesa, and we invite you to join our campaign this Thursday, July 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Protector Brewery in Mira Mesa.

Powered by 100 percent renewable energy, Protector Brewery famously became San Diego’s first certified organic brewery when it opened its doors four years ago at 8680 Miralani Dr., across the street from Southwest Carpenters Local 619.

Initially as the morning host at FM 94/9 (now called Alt 94/9) and later at 91X, Tommy was the first San Diego on-air personality to host a weekly feature spotlighting the San Diego craft beer scene, in conjunction with Stone Brewing at FM 94/9 and Karl Strauss at 91X, and became a craft beer podcast pioneer with the launch of High Octane Growler in 2012.

Tommy also made D6 Craft Beer a focus of his 2018 campaign for San Diego City Council, and that tradition continues with our current 2022 effort for District 6.
