University City 4th of July Celebration

We’re looking forward to spending the Fourth of July in University City this year as the community hosts its 31st annual Independence Day Celebration at Standley Park, located at 3585 Governor Dr.
As always, this volunteer-driven event is planned and carried out with the support of community advocates, neighborhood business, and local entrepreneurs.
The UC Celebration gets underway at 8 a.m. and ends with the headline entertainment from 5 to 7 p.m. We’ll be at our campaign booth from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Parking at the UC Celebration will be limited due to construction at Spreckels and restrictions at Standley and Swanson. General parking is available along Governor Dr. and on Mercer, and at the Standley Middle School parking lot on Radcliffe. Additional parking is available adjacent to the Old Town Trolley stops.
A free shuttle will be available aboard the Old Town Trolley along Governor Drive from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., which will make a continuous loop on Governor from the I-805 Park and Ride to Stresemann, with stops along Governor including:
- The park and ride at I-805
- Both sides of Gullstrand St.
- Curie Elementary School and across the street at Urgent Care
- Mercer Ave. and across the street at Standley Park
- Corner of Regents Rd. (both sides)
- Stresemann Ave. at the Church of Latter Day Saints
