We’re thrilled and honored to announce that, for the second time, our Neighborhoods First campaign has been endorsed by the San Diego chapter of the League of Conservation Voters.
With two millions members across the country, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is a national organization that has been promoting strong conservation and environmental candidates and policy since 1969, and the league’s National Environmental Scorecard remains the gold standard for the public to evaluate the environmental records of candidates and elected officials.
The League of Conservation Voters also identifies decision makers whose actions damage the environment, and holds them publicly responsible for the harm they cause our communities. Likewise, LCV applauds environmental champions for their work to protect the environment with more than 55,000 volunteers who make phone calls, knock on doors, attend events, and advocate on behalf of climate action and quality conservation policy.
This endorsement marks the third major environmental endorsement our campaign has received after the Sierra Club and San Diego County Democrats for Environmental Action, demonstrating once again that Tommy Hough is the de facto conservation and environmental champion in the District 6 race who will protect our quality of life, open space, clean air, clean water, and push for true climate stabilization in San Diego.
