University City Reception for Tommy Near Mercer Street
May 22, 2022, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We have not one but two University City receptions and fundraisers this weekend. This particular event is happening just north of Governor Dr. and west of Mercer St. on Sunday, May 22nd, at 3 p.m.
Beginning in March, and then at recent forums hosted by the University City Community Association, Mira Mesa Town Council, and the San Diego Union-Tribune, Tommy made it clear he opposed the rezoning of south University City, and would defend single-family zoning where it currently exists while also pursuing effective, transit-centered and affordable housing options in Kearny Mesa and Miramar. Even as the city has backed off the rezoning proposal, Tommy stands by his pledges.
Please RSVP here to pre-contribute for address details, or e-mail judy@tommyhough.com for more information. Don’t miss this great opportunity to speak with Tommy in-person, ask questions, learn more, and support our Neighborhoods First city council campaign today in the new iteration of District 6. Ballots are out now!
Suggested levels of support:
Manzanita level: $50
Sycamore level: $200
Redwood level: $400
Sequoia level: $650 (maximum contribution)
Or any combination thereof – thank you.
Your support is VITAL if we’re going to make it past June 7th to the general election. Even if you’re unable to attend our campaign events or fundraisers in May, make a general contribution today.
