Mira Mesa Neighborhood Canvass at Mesa Verde Park
July 2, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
We’re on our way to the general election in November!
Join us at Mesa Verde Neighborhood Park on Gold Coast Dr. in Mira Mesa on Saturday, July 2nd, at 10 a.m. for a neighborhood canvass with our Tommy Hough for San Diego City Council campaign. We’ll meet by the “leaning tree” on the south side of the park, across from the entrance to the Mariposa HOA.
If you haven’t canvassed with us before, download the PDI app to your phone (we can help) and our team can train you to log in and load your turf. If you’ve never gone canvassing before, no problem – you can walk with one of our veteran canvassers first.
Downtown lobbyists, developers, and other instruments of the establishment are about to pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into faceless PACs and independent expenditures to tip the results in the District 6 race to maintain the status quo – even as our working and middle class neighbors pay the highest electricity rates in the nation, the highest water and sewage rates in the state, our open space and Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP) lands are treated like placeholders, and our roads remain in disrepair without any hope of expanded transit anytime soon. Our remedy: Talk to Our Neighbors.
Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and be sure your phone is fully charged, and THANK YOU for your support. If you’d like a lawn sign, send us your address and we’ll deliver one or have one for you on Saturday.
Mesa Verde Neighborhood Park is located just east of Camino Ruiz and west of Mason Elementary School on Gold Coast Dr. You can also access the park from Flanders Dr. on the north.
