University City Neighborhood Canvass at University Village Park
July 3, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join us at the southwest corner of University Village Park at Cather Ave. and Florey St. in University City on Sunday, July 3rd, at 10 a.m. for a neighborhood canvass with our Tommy Hough for San Diego City Council campaign.
If you haven’t canvassed with us before, download the PDI app to your phone (we can help) and our team can train you to log in and load your turf. If you’ve never gone canvassing before at all, no problem – you can walk with one of our veteran team members first.
Downtown lobbyists, developers, and other instruments of the establishment are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into faceless PACs and independent expenditures to tip the results in the District 6 race this fall to maintain the status quo – even as our working and middle class neighbors pay the highest electricity rates in the nation, the highest water and sewage rates in the state, our open space and Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP) lands are treated like placeholders, and our roads remain in disrepair without any hope of expanded transit anytime soon. Our remedy: Talk to Our Neighbors.
Bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and be sure your phone is fully charged, and THANK YOU for your support. If you’d like a lawn sign, send us your address and we’ll deliver one or have one for you on Saturday.
If you’re unfamiliar with it, University Village Park is best accessed by taking Gullstrand St. north from Governor Dr. to where Gullstrand St. becomes Cather Ave. at Florey Street. See you there!
